WordPress Ping List 2013

In WordPress terms a ping is a “this site has new content” notification that invites search engine bots to visit your blog.
When new pages and posts are created it may take some time for that new URL to be indexed by search engines (depending on the site’s crawl rate). By default, WordPress pings one pinging service called Ping-o-matic, that service will in turn ping others. To speed this up, WordPress offer the chance for you to add update services within the WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Writing.
Ensure these are in the list:

Why this is good for SEO?
Having your site indexed is fundamentally the most important thing for you. If a URL isn’t indexed it will never be shown in any search engine results page. Not indexing quickly or often enough means your site could miss some big organic search opportunities, especially if your site relies on current affairs or breaking news.
Awesome! I was actually searching google for an updated list of pinging services yesterday. This really helps out.
Thank you Jason, I’m glad that you like it.
Thank you so much for the list.
what about this link
http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/pingSubmit?bloglink=http%3A%2F%2www.yourdomain.com/
is this needed to register in feedburner
Hello there! You don’t need to register your website at feedburner.
thanks
great .. thanks fresh .. and new google ping service http://www.googleping.info ..it’s new
Will do so, thanks!
You said that rpc.pingomatic will in turn ping other services. So will it create some sort of problem to the site if we ping the same service again after pingomatic has already done that. More importantly, will the pinging be looked at as spamming from the search engine’s point of view.
Thanks.
Hi Neeraj,
Thanks to wordpress and it’s default choice of ping service, pingomatic does not turn ping to other services very fast these days and we are using them just for speeding up the pinging process. Additionally lots of the services will not use call from pingomatic if they already received direct ping from your website.
By our experience (from this year) utilizing pingomatic with other services will not be regarded as spam and search engines will not downgrade website using it.
For the peace of mind you can always remove pingomatic from the list but, personally, I don’t think you have to.
Had same question in mind, wasn’t clear from WordPress’ update service article. Thanks for clearing it up.
Thank you Omo, I’m glad that article helped you
woow.. thanks dude ..!!!
Very useful! Thank you.
QAny idea on how many is too many? Or is there no such thing as too many services pinged?
Hi Vidyut, you can use as many ping services as you like.
Thanks Milan, this is a very helpful list. I believe in pinging.

Thanks for this list, I have an old list on an old site (over 3 years) and wasn’t sure how relevant it all was so great to be able to update it with this one and add them to my new site.
Hi,
You should update this list because some of the domains listed are for sale or just dead..

Can the larger list look spammy to Google?
Thanks!
Hey Michael,
Thank you for a nice comment!
You will not have any problems with Google by using multiple ping services.
We are using same ping list here on dessky.com and our google ranking is just getting better over time

Thank you very much. I lost my list and now get the fresh one. Everything happens for good if we don’t blame our destiny
Thanx for this post. I have a question please.
You mean we have to add these sites under pings website or something like that. Please explain
Hey Rodney,
You can find more info regarding the ping service update on this link https://codex.wordpress.org/Update_Services .
Cheers!
thanks this is nice post, I well adding to my website sifiwiki.com,but i have q there are so many Links,am afraid of spamming Google with this list or other? and how much can i add Links? Because i add many links 371 !
371 links is a really huge number and could take some time for your website to contact all those ping services, probably you should check if url’s you are using are still operational – by doing so you should be left with about 40% of the existing list.
Thanks so much for providing that list Milan. Been looking around at a few of the lists that are out there and have went with your list for http://www.blatantworld.com as it seems to be the most recently updated. Cheers for putting it together
